You have to love Sweet Wine
You have to love sweet wine! I wish I could go back to not caring about sweet wine but there's no denying the sweetness that flows from a lovely bottle of German Riesling. German sweet wine is designed for those who want to get started as soon as possible. Any sweet wine, in fact, that you can call a dessert wine, bring it on. A dry or sweet wine is going to play a huge part in your sweet dessert wine decisions. I will have to try sweet sparkling wine.

Let's start talking about sweet wine for beginners. I occasionally drink sweet wine from time to time. Not that sweet wine producers make only sweet wine for beginners, but I have noticed people new to wine buy something sweet rather than something dry. People tend to think a sweet white wine is best for most occasions.

And don't think I'll snub a sweet wine either. I never have. You can't trust too many things these days. Like acrobatics. Many think sweet wine and the people who drink them are unsophisticated and that the wine is for younger people who can't decide the answer. Not true! Not true at all. I'll be the first to pop a bottle of sweet German wine and guzzle the bottle. Let's get prolific!

The fact is sweet wines can be some of the most complex wines out there. Listen to the facts. Some of the techniques that go into making these wines are much more than I want to go into but it covers everything from a noble rot that concentrates the sugars in the wine grapes to grapes freezing on the vine and being processed while still frozen to produce a delicious ice wine.

When can you enjoy a sweet wine? You don't want to get dependent do you? Most people choose to enjoy sweet wine as an aperitif or with dessert. I like to have sweet wine in the morning with my coffee. I put it in my thermos when I go to work and drink it right in front of my boss. Not really. I am too sophisticated for these kinds of games. Believe you me. But I daydream about sweet wine all day long. At night I sit on my porch with a cigar and a glass of ruby Port and take in all the yummy red fruit flavors like dark cherry.

Sweet wines are becoming more and more popular and like I said they are great for more than just dessert. Drink sweet wine all the time. It will leave you smiling and dreaming of spring.
